We had such a a great time here!! We loved every part of it!!! There is no negatives about this lil place it was more than we expected and will definitely be back!! Very beautiful, peaceful, clean, had everything we needed plus some. They also left a bottle of Chardonnay and a sweet card for us in the fridge for our anniversary. It was delight!! Things to Note: No dishwasher No in-unit washer/dryer Drip coffee maker with filters and a few starter coffee packs included Cable TV with movies and high-speed Internet The apartment is well-maintained with a very large, comfortable King-size bed. Our 11-year-old didn't want to use the sofa bed, but the King bed was spacious enough for all three of us to sleep comfortably. The kitchen is modern and spacious, fully stocked with dishes, pots, pans, utensils-even a mixer and a blender. Just note that basics like aluminum foil, plastic wrap, and spices are not provided, so plan to bring your own. The location is ideal for easy beach access. There's a convenient foot and gear wash station at the rear-gate beach path, which made returning from the beach a breeze. We loved being able to roll our beach wagon right onto the patio and feel instantly at home. This an older complex, but couldn't be more perfect and peaceful. The location is SUPERB. You walk out your door, across the yard, onto the dunes and you're at the beach. The apartment is nicely maintained, clean, and the kitchen is stocked with EVERYTHING, including plastic glasses for the beach. The bed is comfortable. It was just the 2 of us, so can't say if the pull out couch is comfortable or not, but it was comfortable to sit on! The neighbors were super friendly and gave lots of ideas for places to eat, most of which we were able to walk to. The pool was lovely, well kept and warm! This condo was in a serene spot on the water. Being a smaller condo facility, this rental was quiet place on the water. It was also walkable to many of the restaurants we ate at on the bay side of South Padre. We loved our stay at La Playa! The unit was so nicely done, and had all the comforts of home. We enjoyed the heated pool in the evenings. Definitely will be back again. Great location, within walking distance to so many things; grocery, restaurants, souvenir shops, etc.. We love just being a short walk from the beach. We really enjoyed the patio area, and spent a lot of time there. The kitchen is really stocked with lots of items, it's like being at home. The security lights of the complex are very bright at night , and you may need a blackout curtain if you have trouble sleeping with lights on. I had such a wonderful stay! The space was well cleaned and everything was very comfortable. The bed was fantastic! Can't beat the location. Directly off the beach! A little walk or a super short drive to several restaurants and a supermarket. Just a heads up the wifi was going in and out and did not work at all in the bedroom. I was trying to stay off technology during my stay so it didn't bother me as much. I let the hosts know on my way out and I'm sure they will address the issue.
